  • Have you ever noticed when trying to view the windows files or the program files you receive some stupid message saying that these files are hidden or system files.  Often they are of an annoyance for advanced users but can be a life saver for beginner users.  Below I will show you how to turn them back on using the registry after you are clicked to view the files which turns them off.

    1. Start Regedit.
    2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
      WebView\BarricadedFolders
    3. Once there locate the folder that you want to turn the protection back on.
    4. Right click on them and select Modify
    5. Change the value to 1
    6. Reboot your computer.
