lag on blue highlighter when selecting folders

This is not for everyone but I have noticed when I select lots of folders and you get a blue highlighter it can start to slow down. To fix this:
- right click my compter
- then advanced
- then performance settings
- untick show translucent rectangle
- then re-tick show translucent rectangle
- then apply
Now when you highlight your folders in Windows XP there should be no more lag.
