There was a bug in windows 2000 that would cause the scheduled tasks folder to be searched when ever the user would browse network drives.

There was a bug in windows 2000 that would cause the scheduled tasks folder to be searched when ever the user would browse network drives.
when you connect to a web site your computer sends information back and forth, this is obvious.
I spent 4 days trying to find out why my dsl speed was so slow...aol was no help, qwest was no help, I even had technicians come out and check the phone lines.
I found alot of people complaining about the slow network browsing with Windows 2000 and XP, but fast with 95/98 working on the same server with too many files listed in one directory (8000 in our clients case).
Remember the Quick Search powertoy for IE? Well, now it's built in. Load up TweakUI and expand the Internet Explorer menu. Under search, you can create new search options. For example:
