Oh no, say it ain't so! Girls Aloud's former manager Louis Walsh has admitted he thinks the band will split after they've recorded their next album.

The reason? 'I think rumours about the band splitting started because Nadine is in Los Angeles,' says Louis. 'But she's only in Los Angeles because she's going out with a guy there, Jesse Metcalfe.' Yes, we know, Louis, we know…

Still, Sarah Harding may want to jump ship and join another top band even sooner than that - because the Arctic Monkeys want her to help out on their third album. 'I'm finding less and less to say,' says the band's frontman Alex Turner. 'I'm wilting as a frontman, right, so I'm thinking, third album, we'll just get Sarah Harding to front the band. I'll sing some of the old songs to keep the hardcore happy and then all the new tunes can just be her.'

OK, so Alex is probably being deadpan and sarcastic in his usual oh-so-trendy way here - but we think it could work. Don't knock it until you've tried it, lads. We think it's a musical match made in heaven!
