Let's be real: the new Treo 755p is more or less what the 700p should have been. There's not exactly anything wrong with it, just that it's been a year since the 700p came out and all the improvements to the 755p are rather minor. Click on for some first impressions of the Treo 755p, as well as a gallery of hands-on shots.

Frankly, we're not sure who's still buying the Vertu Ascent. Contrary to what Vertu might think, its handsets aren't timeless — as technology plods ever forward, so must the world's phones. Alas, the company is seeing fit to roll out yet another batch of special editions of its most "mainstream" (we use that term very loosely here) model.

A revolutionary way to print pictures without ink has been invented by a US company called Zink Imaging.
The company, a spin-off of Polaroid, says it will use the technology to make hand-held printers that can be integrated into mobile phones and digital cameras, with the first products available at the end of 2007. The key to creating the devices is doing away with ink, using a new type of digital printing that changes colour of paper when heat is applied.

Thirteen-year-old Morgan Pozgar, of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, was crowned LG National Texting champion on Saturday after she typed "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins" in 15 seconds.
"I'm going to go shopping and buy lots of clothes," the teen said after winning her $25,000 prize from the electronics company LG.
Morgan defeated nearly 200 other competitors at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan to become East Coast champion and then beat West Coast champion Eli Tirosh, 21, of Los Angeles, California.
She estimated that she sends more than 8,000 text messages a month to her friends and family.
