A revolutionary way to print pictures without ink has been invented by a US company called Zink Imaging.
The company, a spin-off of Polaroid, says it will use the technology to make hand-held printers that can be integrated into mobile phones and digital cameras, with the first products available at the end of 2007. The key to creating the devices is doing away with ink, using a new type of digital printing that changes colour of paper when heat is applied.

Just over a month since releasing their HHD to OEMs, out pops an 80GB Hybrid Hard Drive in Samsung's venerable M55 lowly R55 laptop. They're calling it an "industry first" even though we all know damn well that LG announced leaked their HHD-equipped R400 laptop back in March sporting Samsung's own MH80 hybrid.

Thirteen-year-old Morgan Pozgar, of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, was crowned LG National Texting champion on Saturday after she typed "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins" in 15 seconds.
"I'm going to go shopping and buy lots of clothes," the teen said after winning her $25,000 prize from the electronics company LG.
Morgan defeated nearly 200 other competitors at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan to become East Coast champion and then beat West Coast champion Eli Tirosh, 21, of Los Angeles, California.
She estimated that she sends more than 8,000 text messages a month to her friends and family.

When questioned at a USA Today event yesterday, Steve Ballmer sort of (emphasis on sort of) put the rumor
about the Zune phone to bed — apparently it's "not a concept you'll ever get from us," but this of course doesn't rule out a phone with Zune functionality.
He went on to mention how Microsoft's focus is on Windows Mobile but added that Zune could be put into Windows Mobile as could Xbox (this kind of talk thrills us over here) but that he wouldn't define their phone experience by music alone. While all this could mean something or nothing at all, we're optimistic 'round here and are hoping that the lack of a definitive "no" means there may yet be something in the wings. Xbox-Zune-Windows-Mobile device, anyone?

As expected, AT&T has launched the GT Max 3.6 Express from Option to satisfy the needs of the many, many road warriors toting nothing more than an ExpressCard slot to satisfy their 3G data needs.
Tragically, the ExpressCard/34 device isn't being shipped with Mac OS support out of the box, though Option touts Apple compatibility and we're pretty confident that determined MacBook Pro owners will have little or no issue getting it up and running. Another intriguing option for laptop data, the Sierra Wireless 875U, hooks up to the USB port of your choice; like the Option, AT&T's only supporting Windows at the moment even though Mac OS drivers exist for the device. Get the GT Max 3.6 Express now for a penny shy of $50 on contract after rebates — pricing hasn't been announced for the 875U just yet, but it'll be available in "early May," so we don't have terribly long to wait.

Symbian is back in the news this morning after another night of promiscuity. Having been spotted shacking-up with with LG and Google just yesterday, the Nokia bedfellow was just outed with this cutie, Samsung's new SGH-i400 smartphone. It's not the first Samsung S60 slider we've seen, nor will it be the last.
