@madre234 Yes, there are java version of a Wii Interactive whiteboard and bluetooth dongles that work in a Mac. Also, yes, you can use the BULB from an old TV remote but you cannot leave it in the remote. A TV remote flashes on and off quickly, with codes that mean something to your TV or cable box. An IR pen for the Wii Whiteboard needs to just go ON when the button is pressed and go OFF when the button is released. I sell such pens on ebay. Just start with item number: 220559761646

@yashthebrat To really understand the answer to this question you really need to understand what is going on. The Wii remote itself honestly does not know or care what it is pointed at. It just has a detection grid and any 4 IR light points that appear in that grid are dutifully reported to the computer with their exact positions. The only reason to use a monitor is actually to so that YOU, the human, can have 4 visible caligration targets so that you can define your touch surface.

@directing101 No, sadly, this cheaper Wii remote replacement does not seem to be sensitive enough to work. You can buy a separate Wii Remote for $40.

@doghouse144 The button turns on the LED. You may not be able to see the IR LED but the Wii remote can. The LED does have to be in the camera’s field of view, at the front of the Wiimote, and not blocked by a body or any solid object.
