I have a problem with all the people saying that Simon should have died instead of Kamina. I disagree completely. If that had happened then the show would be boring as heck. Kamina was awesome. He was loved the way he was and he would have stayed the same throughout the series and there would have been no character development. Simon has been changing from day one. Watching him grow is my fave part. This would be a mindless shounen anime with no good plot if Kamina was the main character.

@poofkaboom I doubt that. Spiral Power is effectively a LOLHAX to the code of the universe. With the ability to give the laws of physics, hell, reality it’self the finger, I think Gurran Lagann would defeat any gundam.
