I bought this as a gift for somebody else but it is so great I want one as well, and I can think of a few people who’d also love it for Xmas. It’s the perfect iPod touch companion.
I was a bit concerned as the spec says it is for iPhones 3G but the iPod 3G touch fits the holder beautifully.
We had to shave a bit of the plastic off the corner of the holder so that a 3.5 to 3.5 speaker cable fitted correctly but a proper iPod to 3.5mm stereo cable would have worked with no problem at all. I think a standard headphones cable would have worked ok without the surgery as gubbins around the 3.5 mm pin is less bulky on headphones.
The gorillapod is very secure and safe clinging on to the arm of the sofa. Looks like the perfect gadget for watching catch up TV in bed.

)I’ll buy a silicone type case for my ipod nano so I can fasten one of the enclosed self adhesive holders to the case and use the gorillapod as a tripod for filming movies.
It also has a clip with a standard screw fitting for use with cameras – so it is is very versatile.

A brilliant piece of kit. From desk stand to mounting on your bike/motorbike as nav device or video camera.
Put the driver who cuts you up on UTube?! All sorts of practical (nerdy?)uses.
One small criticism, the cover which holds the phone does not have protection for the shiny bits at each end so if you like to keep your treasured device pristine don’t use this as an every day cover.

I initially purchased this as a stand for my iPhone. However, also makes a great mini tripod, especially for hooking on objects or wrapping the tripod legs around a lamp post, etc. Furthermore, with the supplied accessories, I am also able to use the stand for my SB-600 flashgun, which can come in handy for off-flash photography.
About the iPhone case, it’s not too bad but it certainly does not offer the perfect protection, as the phone could easily pop out of it if dropped, and the iPhone’s shiny bezel is exposed to scratches.
I would recommend this product but do be careful when using it, I personally don’t trust it 100%, especially when it holds devices that costs £200+

Great little gadget that fits the iphone but also compact digital cameras. Many potential uses – I consider this a must have iphone accessory, especially now the camera on the 3Gs is much better than those on previous models.
