A video showing the X-Plane version designed for the iPad. Much improved over the iPhone version, incredible graphics and level of simulation. I was not able to go through all of the various options the simulator has, this was just a brief overview of what it can do.

Since the Ipad came out I always said it needed a mouse while it is in its keyboard dock, and now, as usual, somebody did it better than Apple

One more point, the same version of the Application is used on all devices. Meaning you only have to update 1 instance of Word or Adobe Reader, or patch 1 version of Windows 7. The same version runs on all of the devices shown.
As for the mouse, its much easier to use the iPhone as a trackpad, vs. sliding your iPhone across a table.
Nice Video!

I used Citrix in a previous job about 3 years ago…and it has certainly come a LONG way. Oh…and the iPhone touch pad is pretty cool.

Is that Joaquin Phoenix?

This is interesting – probably mostly in how LITTLE Citrix/ICA/Remote Desktop/Published Applications have really changed. I think Citrix has a great product and they should get more attention for it…

@NightmareJoker2: the touch pad actually works really well, but I’ll ask the guys to look into the accelerometer functionality as well. the idea was to be able to get precise control while conserving personal space. -Tal

Imagine working at your cubicle from the local bar!

Doesn’t the iPhone have an accelerometer? Using it as a touch pad is kinda pointless, moving it like a wireless mouse would be more reasonable.
